Troy Grady put out some videos years ago about Cracking The Code, which was about finding the reasons why fast guitar playing is rare and difficult compared to, for example, piano or violin.
The new Cracking the Code is in a new format on YouTube, and it's great. The old Cracking the Code, however, had shots of the picking hands of great fast players-Tommy Emmanuel. Michael Angelo Batio. Mike Stern. Rusty Cooley. Albert Lee. -taken from a camera clamped to the neck between the picking hand and the fretting hand.
Now, you can film your own playing like he filmed the above masters plus others, with the Magnet. Or will soon, as it's a Kickstarter.
