When I teach driving, I start in a big parking lot with nothing in it and let the student drive in big circles until he or she feels comfortable. That big parking lot is traditionally Ross-Ade parking lot. I took Eric (pictured) to Ross Ade the second time yesterday, and it started to rain down hard on us. Yes, it was a hard rain and thus tough, but OTOH, it kept traffic down, which made it easier when Eric mentioned he was bored with parking and comfortable with the car. So, I took him away from the stadium, out on Cherry, down to the airport, through Married Student Housing, by Ag Mall, up and down a parking structure, past Chauncey and Five Points, down Earl, and back home.

He needs work in knowing where to be in the lane, but really, he did well for his first time on the streets.
